Ghana is the home of Highlife music, which spread to Sierra Leone and Nigeria in the 1920's and then to other West African countries. Like most genres, it has grown and developed over the years, and has incorporated various influences. So you know it was only a matter of time before this party music was fused with Hip Hop to create what Ghana calls Hip-Life. Check out this short trailer on it.
